Fellow Bankers, Friends, and Colleagues!
On behalf of the Board of Directors and Secretariat of the Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP), I cordially invite you and others in the development finance community to the 46th ADFIAP Annual Meetings with the theme “DFIs and Sustainable Infrastructure: Operating Models and Methods,” which will take place in Rixos Almaty Hotel Almaty, Kazakhstan on May 15-17, 2023 and will be hosted by Eurasian Development Bank.
To achieve sustainable development, we must update our operational models and processes, as they play a critical role in channeling and mobilizing funds in realizing Sustainable Development Goals. The public, private, and development financial institutions all contribute to the achievement of the 2030 Agenda and the Paris Agreement.
Over the years, DFIs have been playing a crucial role to build a strong foundation for economic development by extending their support to the sectors which are identified as the key drivers of growth. At the 46th ADFIAP Annual Meetings, we endeavor to provide a platform for CEOs and senior officials to exchange views and ideas through structured sessions about the theme.
As in the previous editions, we hope participating members may benefit from an enriched experience and key takeaways from this meeting.

Dear colleagues,
It is a great pleasure to welcome you to the 46th ADFIAP Annual Meetings, which is to be hosted this year in Almaty, Kazakhstan, the city where the Eurasian Development Bank has its headquarters.
The Republic of Kazakhstan, a founder of the Eurasian Development Bank, is a progressive country located at the heart of Eurasia, but with close historical, cultural and business ties with Asian and European countries.
This year’s agenda will focus on the role of national and international development institutions in sustainable infrastructure projects in transport, communications, energy and digitalisation – all of these playing a crucial role in sustainable socioeconomic development nationally and regionally.
I strongly believe that this event is an opportunity for participants to share their experience of implementing these projects, to discuss how best to combine the efforts of national and international development institutions, to discover the huge investment potential of Central Asia, to make new contacts and enhance cooperation.
